As mentioned it is sold unfilled so you can stuff to your desired stiffness. I purchased for my pre-teen and have chosen to stuff with lighter weight material. Design is great for practicing upper-body submissions and transitions. The durability and quality was above expectation considering the price point. The zipper in the back is very well constructed and covered with a fairly flush Velcro so no stuffing can have a chance of escaping. We will probably invest in a couple more for our children's class.
